By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF ONE OF THE COUNTRIES/TERRITORIES LISTED IN APPENDIX A (“ELIGIBLE TERRITORIES”) AND OF LEGAL AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR JURISDICTION OF RESIDENCE ON OR BEFORE THE END DATE OF THE PROMOTION. VOID OUTSIDE OF THE ELIGIBLE TERRITORIES AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LOCAL LAW Employees (and their immediate families (parent, child, spouse or sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related) of Seagate Technology UK Ltd. (“Sponsor”), its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies or any other individuals or entities engaged in the development, production, or distribution of materials for this Promotion are not eligible to enter or win. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges and/or Sponsor, which are binding and final on all matters relating to this Promotion.
TO ENTER: Between 25/09/2017 at 18:00 GMT and 27/11/2017 at 22:00 GMT (the “Entry Period”), go to the microsite https://element.lacie.com and follow the instructions to submit a video as directed.
Entrants must log in with Google and connect their personal YouTube account in order to submit a video (“Content”). By logging in with your YouTube account, you are sharing the account information as described in the Google Privacy Policy. Content sharing on other sites, including YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, is subject to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on those sites.
At the end of the Entry Period, the eligible entries will go through a selection process and a judging panel of two industry experts will judge and shortlist their individual top 3 videos based on the published criteria on the above microsite, allocating a score to each selected entry video as 1st = 3 points, 2nd = 2 points and 3rd = 1 point.
PUBLIC VOTE: Between 28/11/2017 at 11:00 GMT and 12/12/2017 at 22:00 GMT (the “Voting Period”) all eligible entries will be showcased on the site and the public will be asked to vote for their best video. The three videos with the most votes will be allocated a score on the basis of receiving the highest number of votes; 1st=3 points, 2nd = 2 points and 3rd = 1 point. The weight of the overall public vote will be equal to that of one member of the judging panel.
The winners will be the three (3) videos which receive the highest scores by the end of the Voting Period. In the event of a deadlock where 1 or more videos receive an equal number of points, those videos will be sent back to the judging panel who will decide on the winning videos. The winning video and winner will be announced on 19/12/2017 in or around 13:00 GMT.
By submitting a video, entrants receive one (1) entry into the promotion competition with a chance to win one of three prizes as detailed below (“1st Prize”, “2nd Prize” and “3rd Prize”). There is one (1) potential winner of 1st Prize, one (1) potential winner of 2nd Prize and one (1) potential winner of 3rd Prize. All entries must be received by 27/11/2017 at 22:00 GMT to be eligible.
1st PRIZE: Prize consists of: one (1) x Blackmagic 4k Cinemea URSA Mini, LaCie 6big 24TB, LaCie Rugged Thunderbolt3 SSD 1TB, DJI Phantom 4 Pro, MacBook Pro 15 inch TouchBar, Quad i7 2.6GHz 16GB 256GB Pro 450 Silver, IQuasar Science Q-Lion Rechargeable Lithium Ion Lamps 3 pack and an Innovativ Digicase - Lite Ultra Kit, with an approximate retail value “ARV” of $15,000 and marketing and advertising exposure on media owned by Sponsor and certain of Sponsor’s partners.
2nd PRIZE: Consists of: one (1) x BlackMagic UltraStudio HD Mini, LaCie 2big Dock 20TB and Lacie Rugged Thunderbolt USB-C.
3rd PRIZE: Consists of: one (1) x LaCie 2big Dock 20TB and Lacie Rugged Thunderbolt USB-C.
Winners may not substitute, assign or transfer prize or redeem prize for cash, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. Allow twenty-eight (28) days for delivery of the editing suite element of prize following completion of verification process. The details, dates and duration of the mentoring session and marketing exposure elements of the prize will be arranged in conjunction with the Winner and are subject to availability. The export or re-export of hardware or software containing encryption may be regulated by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (for more information, visit www.bis.doc.gov). Values are expressed in US Dollars.
CONDITIONS IMPOSED ON WINNERS: Potential Prize winner will be notified by email on or about 18/12/2017. The winner may be required to execute and return a Confirmation of Eligibility Form and Release, and, where lawful, a Publicity Release (as applicable) within 14 days of date of issuance. If such documents are not returned within the specified time period, prize notification is returned as undeliverable, Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner within a reasonable time period, or potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, prize may be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner selected. Names of Winners will also be published on the LaCie Facebook Pages and LaCie Twitter Feed in the Eligible Territories.
CONTENT SUBMISSION: You are responsible for your use of the microsite and for any Content you provide, including compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. You should only provide Content that you are comfortable sharing with others.
Each entrant, by entering the Promotion, except where legally prohibited grants Sponsor and its designees to use his/her name, address (city and country), photograph, shared video content, voice and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes, without further compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide in perpetuity (or if a French resident for a duration of five (5) years) without notice or review or approval, and certify that any person pictured or discussed in the submitted media or content (or, if a minor, his/her parent/legal guardian) authorizes Sponsor to use, copy, print, display, reproduce, modify, publish, post, transmit and distribute the media and any material included in such media. You further certify that you have obtained express consent of individuals Content of individuals if you have not received their express consent. You further certify the Content does not include hateful, harmful, lewd, pornographic, harassing, or threatening content or does not violate the privacy rights of another individual.
While the microsite may be monitored periodically for topicality, Sponsor has no obligation to prescreen Content and is not responsible for their content. We encourage you to notify us of inappropriate or illegal content and we reserve the right to remove Content for any reason.
ENTRANTS’ PERSONAL INFORMATION: By entering the Promotion, entrants consent to Sponsor’s collection, use and disclosure of their personal information for the purpose of administering the Promotion and in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy available http://www.lacie.com/gb/en/legal-privacy/privacy-policy/. If an entrant has opted-in for future communications their personal details will be used to provide information regarding Sponsor’s products, service offerings and details of future promotions. Entrants have a right to access, modify and withdraw their personal data as described in Sponsor’s Privacy Policy or entrants may exercise such right by writing to: Seagate Database Team, 1973 Ltd, 1973 Ltd, Couching House, Watlington, Oxfordshire, OX49 5PX, United Kingdom. By entering this Promotion or providing personally identifiable information you consent to the collection, processing, maintenance and transfer of such information in and to the United States (which do not provide an adequate level of protection according to EU data protection regulations, for the purpose of administering this Promotion) and other applicable territories outside of the country where the data was collected from you. The Released Parties will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy and these Official Rules in respect of such transfer, but will not otherwise take steps to ensure compliance with applicable laws in your country of residence. By participating in the Program, entrants expressly agree to such transfer. In the event of an inconsistency between these Official Rules and the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, these Official Rules shall prevail.
RELEASE OF TECHNICAL LIABILITY: Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, misdirected, undelivered or garbled entries, applications, emails, or registrations; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind which may occur whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Promotion, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Promotion, the processing of entries, emails or surveys, the announcement of the prizes or in any Promotion-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to entrants or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in this Promotion or downloading materials from or use of the web site.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: Except where prohibited by local law, by participating, entrant agrees that Sponsor, their parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in this Promotion. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Promotion or website or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. In the event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorised subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorised account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organisation responsible for assigning e-mail addresses. Unless the laws relevant for the domicile of the entrants provide otherwise, this Promotion is governed by State of California, United States of America law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state, and local laws. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Promotion must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in California, United States of America.
RIGHT TO TERMINATE THE PROMOTION: Should any portion of the Promotion be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Promotion and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the potential winners from all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor.
OWNERSHIP OF SHARED CONTENT: All shared content and their IP belongs to their respective owners. Sponsor disclaims any responsibility for the entrant’s content.
French Residents Only: Telecommunication and access expenses corresponding to the time of connection on the Promotion have been evaluated at the flat fee of .50 EUROS per entry and shall be reimbursed to any entrant who requests it. Requests must be sent in writing by the entrant at Seagate Technology UK Ltd., 60 Norden Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 4AY or 1973 Ltd, Couching House, Watlington, Oxfordshire, OX49 5PX, United Kingdom within fifteen days from the end of the Promotion (the post stamp being the reference) and supplying his/her bank details (RIB). The stamps used for the reimbursement request at the normal rate may also be reimbursed upon written request in the same deadline at the same address.
WINNERS’ LIST: For the names of the winners (available after December 15, 2017) send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: LaCie InMyElment Promotion Winners, 1973 Ltd, Couching House, Watlington, Oxfordshire, OX49 5PX, United Kingdom, for receipt no later than January 1st, 2018.
