CONTEST RULES
The purpose of this document is the complete and clear determination of the Contest for a Weekend Stay rules in Bratislava (hereinafter the “contest”).
The contest organizer is:
Bratislavská organizácia cestovného ruchu – Bratislava Tourist Board
registered office: Primaciálne námestie 1, 814 99 Bratislava, Slovak Republic
(hereinafter the “organizer”)
I. Date and venue of the contest:
The contest takes place in the period from October 9th 12:00 AM to October 21st 11:59:59 PM included (hereinafter the “contest period”) in the Slovak Republic (hereinafter “the contest venue”).
The contest takes place on the Internet on the website with the URL www.visitbratislava.com (hereinafter the “contest website”).
II. Contest participants:
Only a natural person older than 18 years can be a contest participant (hereinafter the “contest participant”).
Persons who are employed by the organizer, or are in other similar work relationship with the organizer, or with companies and agencies cooperating with the organizer, as well as persons close to such persons are excluded from the contest. A close person is considered to be a person referred to in Sec. 116 and 117 of Act No. 40/1964, the Civil Code, as amended (hereinafter the “Civil Code”).
Persons who do not meet the conditions for participation in the contest or acting contrary to the contest rules will not be included in the contest. Even if such a person meets the conditions for receipt of the prize (e.g. as the result of providing false information), they do not become a winner and are not eligible for the prize. In this case, the prize goes to the organizer entitled to grant it to the second winner in the order or use it for other marketing purposes. The contestant will be excluded even if the organizer finds out or has a justified suspicion of committing fraud or misconduct on the part of any participant in the contest or another person who helped that contest participant win the prize.
III. Prizes in the contest and their handover:
The contest prizes are:
3x Weekend stay in Bratislava on the date of your choice but no later than 31 August 2026, the prize consisting of:
2 nights in a standard double room for two persons in 4* hotel in city center with breakfast
and
3x 2 Bratislava Cards valid for 72h, on the date of winner’s choice but no later than 31 August 2026; more info about Card: https://card.visitbratislava.com/
(hereinafter the “prize”)
The contest winner receives one prize.
The fact of the contest participant becoming the winner of the prize will be announced to the contest participant within 7 working days after the contest’s evaluation through an email sent to the email address the contest participant entered in the contest form (it is therefore the email address they indicated in the contest form on the contest website). This information email may include more information and instructions concerning the implementation and acceptance of the prize, which the winner is obliged to respect.
In the event that the winner does not confirm the acceptance of the prize within 7 days of being notified of the winning or does not accept the prize under previously agreed conditions (in the information email about winning in the contest, sent by the organizer) and in due time, the prize is forfeited to the contest organizer.
The organizer reserves the right to request necessary documents in case of doubt about the contest participant’s eligibility to participate in the contest or win the contest (e.g. ID card in order to determine the age of the contestant). If the contest participant does not present the required necessary documents at the request of the organizer, they will be excluded from the contest. In this case, the prize will be forfeited without any compensation to the organizer authorized to grant it to another contest participant or use it for other marketing purposes.
IV. Mechanics of the contest and selection of winners:
The consent participant may participate in the contest by visiting the contest website during the contest period, where they:
a) fully and truthfully complete the contest form and fulfill the contest task consisting in participation in research, or in the answer to the questions posted on the URL address:

(hereinafter “the contest form” or “contest task”),
b) Subsequently, confirm their consent to the contest rules and the processing of personal data, and send the duly completed contest form by clicking on the SEND button.
The contest participant is included in the contest at the moment of delivering the contest form completed by them in accordance with these rules to the organizer (hereinafter “registration”).
That competitor is not able to repeatedly participate in the contest and repeatedly register through the contest form.
Determination of winners:
a) One prize is awarded in the contest (see Art. III, Par. 1 of these Regulations).
b) The competition has a total of 6 winners determined by random draw carried out by the organizer. The draw will take place after the end of tournament, and the drawing will include all contest participants who entered the contest in the applicable manner described in these rules.
c) The winners will win 3x weekend stay in Bratislava and 3x 2 Bratislava Cards valid for 72h.
d) One contest participant may win only one prize for the entire duration of the contest.
e) In the event that two and more contestants have the same surname (the same surname is also considered to be a feminine variant form of the surname of the male gender) and also indicated the same address in the contest form, they are treated as members of the same family. Only one member of every family may win a prize; in the case of several family members involved in the contest the prize is handed over only to the the family member who entered first.
V. Processing and protection of personal data:
By participating in the contest, the contest participant grants the organizer consent to process their personal data to the following extent: e-mail address, and in the case of winning, also first name, surname, and address (if necessary for the delivery of the prize). The data controller of the personal data is the organizer. The contact e-mail address of the controller is: btb@visitbratislava.com. The purpose of processing the personal data is the organization and administration of the contest. The legal basis for processing is the consent of the data subject, expressed by participating in the contest and accepting its rules. Personal data will be retained for the duration of the contest.
The data subject has the following rights:
a) the right to request access to their personal data from the controller (the right to obtain confirmation whether personal data concerning them are being processed, the right to access such data, and the right to obtain further information in accordance with the GDPR);
b) the right to rectification of personal data (correction of inaccurate data and completion of incomplete data);
c) the right to erasure of personal data and the right to restriction of processing;
d) the right to object to the processing of personal data;
e) the right to data portability;
f) the right to withdraw their consent to the processing of personal data at any time;
g) the right to lodge a complaint or a petition to initiate proceedings for the protection of personal data with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.
The provision of personal data is a requirement of the controller necessary for the organization of the contest.
Failure to provide personal data will result in the inability to participate in the contest.

VI. Final provisions:
The organizer reserves the right to finally decide on all matters relating to this contest. The organizer is also eligible to change, shorten, extend the contest at any time and revoke or modify its rules. In the event that there are changes in the terms and conditions of the contest, it will be done exclusively in writing, in the form of numbered amendments, and such a change of rules will be published on the website of the organizer with the URL www.visitbratislava.com.
The results of the contest are final and without the right of appeal by the contest participants.
Exchange of prizes or payment of monetary fulfillment in exchange for material prizes, as well as demanding the contest participation in the contest or recovery of prizes in a legal way by the contest participants is not possible.
The organizer is not responsible for any damage caused to the contest participants resulting from their participation in the contest or in connection with the received prize.
The organizer is not responsible for any technical problems in the transmission of data by electronic means.
The organizer reserves the right to decide on all matters relating to this contest in their sole discretion and without giving any reason. The organizer hereby does not take any other obligations towards the contest participants and the contest participants are not entitled to any compensations by the organizer other than those specified in these rules.
By participating in the contest, each contest participant agrees to these contest rules and undertakes to observe them unconditionally.
For the duration of the contest, the original of the complete rules will be deposited at the organizer’s address and published on the website www.visitbratislava.com.
