OFFICIAL RULES
NO FEE OR PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. THIS PROMOTION IS SUBJECT TO ALL APPLICABLE LAWS. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules for the applicable promotion (the “Promotion” or collectively, the “Promotions”). Please see each specific Promotion for the Promotion dates and other details. Each Promotion is sponsored by Sony Online Entertainment LLC, 8928 Terman Court, San Diego, CA 92121 (“Sponsor”). Submissions are administered by Votigo, Inc. (“Votigo”).
Promotions are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook. Any information that you provide is being collected by Votigo and will not be not provided to Facebook. Votigo may provide your information to Sponsor for winner selection and prize fulfillment purposes.
Types of Promotions:
1. Station Cash: Ten (10) codes to be redeemed for 1000 Station Cash, to be distributed by e-mail to ten (10) winners randomly selected during each Promotion period specified in the relevant Promotion. You must have an SOE Station Account (free) to redeem Station Cash code. Approximate retail value of each code is US$10.00.
2. Surprise & Delight: Five (5) “Surprise & Delight” codes to be redeemed for virtual in-game items, either to be entitled to the winner’s SOE Station account or to be distributed by e-mail to five (5) winners randomly selected during each Promotion period specified in the relevant Promotion. You must have an SOE Station Account (free) and play the game in which the virtual items is to be used, to redeem Surprise & Delight codes. Approximate retail value of each code is 300 Station Cash or US$3.00.
3. Merchandise: Up to five (5) items (but possibly less, at Sponsor’s discretion) such as t-shirts or mouse pads, to be distributed by mail to up to five (5) winners randomly selected during each Promotion period specified in the relevant Promotion. Approximate retail value of each item is US$10.00 - $US$30.00.
Eligibility: Promotions are open to everyone eighteen (18) and over with a Facebook account, except employees (including their immediate family members and persons living in the same household), officers, directors, and agents of Sponsor, Votigo and Facebook, and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, who are not eligible to participate in Promotions. Only the individual person who submits Promotion entry may win. If you are a minor you must obtain permission from your parent or legal guardian before you submit an entry, and Sponsor reserves the right to require proof of your parent’s or legal guardian’s consent to these Official Rules as a prerequisite for eligibility.
How to Enter: To enter and participate in a Promotion, visit the SOE Facebook page that is hosting the Promotion, review the requirements in each specific Promotion and posted here, and follow the instructions for entering. You may be required to “Like” a certain Facebook page run by Sponsor to be eligible to enter the Promotion. Winners will be randomly selected by Sponsor from eligible entries submitted during the relevant Promotion period. To be considered, your must submit your entries to Sponsor as set forth herein and in each individual Promotion no later than the time and date set forth in the specific Promotion. Promotions are limited to one (1) entry per person unless otherwise noted in a specific Promotion. Duplicate entries (more than one (1) entry per Facebook account), any entries submitted by agencies, other third parties, or through other unapproved methods are void. Any attempt at entry except as stated herein is void. Sponsor will not provide you with confirmation of receipt of your entry.
By participating in any Promotion, you agree to comply with the rules set forth in the Promotion and these Official Rules. Entrants who do not comply with these requirements will be disqualified.
Determination of Winners and Prizes: Winners will be selected randomly from eligible submissions. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. No alternative prize, cash, or other substitution is permitted except by Sponsor, at its sole discretion. All prizes are non-transferable and non-tradable. Allow up to two (2) months for delivery.
Information Provided to Enter: Votigo will share the information that you provide through the Promotion entry to Sponsor for the purposes of Sponsor administering the Promotion. Information that you provide to enter each Promotion, such as your first name, last name, email address, and birthday, will only be used for the purposes of administering each Promotion and contacting you to determine eligibility or provide you with your prize if you are selected as a winner. Votigo will use the information that
you provide in accordance with its Privacy Policy, and Sponsor will use the information that you provide in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
General Terms and Conditions: By participating in a Promotion, you agree that under no circumstances shall Sponsor or Facebook or either of their respective licensors, or their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, agents, successors, and assigns (the “Released Parties”) be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of participation in the Promotion, even if any or all of the Released Parties have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, and therefore such exclusions may not apply to you. By participating in a Promotion, you waive any and all rights to bring any claim or action related to your participation in any forum beyond one (1) year after the first occurrence of the kind of act, event, condition or omission upon which the claim or action is based. By entering, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any person that Sponsor determines to be in violation of any term contained in these Official Rules. Sponsor and Facebook, and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensors, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, and the respective employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and representatives of each, are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, interruptions or difficulties of any kind; (ii) failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions; (iii) any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Sponsor that may cause a Promotion to be disrupted or corrupted; (iv) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result from participation in a Promotion or arising from your access to and use of the Internet site http://www.soe.com (and any other website of Sponsor) or Facebook, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy, to the extent permitted by law; or (v) any errors in any materials associated with a Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify a Promotion for any reason whatsoever. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of a Promotion or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Disputes: This promotion is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California. As a condition of participating in a Promotion, you agree that any and all actions or proceedings related to the Promotion shall be exclusively brought in the County of San Diego, State of California (if under state law) or the Southern District of California (if under Federal law), and the parties agree not to raise in connection therewith, and hereby waive, any defenses based upon the venue, the inconvenience of the forum, the lack of personal jurisdiction, the sufficiency of service of process or the like in any such action or suit brought in the State of California.
