General Terms and Conditions for SCICON Competitions Hosted by ASG SPORT SOLUTIONS (PTY) LTD, SOUTH AFRICA, owner of SCICONSPORTS.COM
Introduction These Terms and Conditions apply to all competitions hosted by ASG Sport Solutions (Pty) Ltd, South Africa (“Organizer”), owner of SCICONSPORTS.COM, herein referred to as “SCICON”. By entering any competition, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions, which will be binding. Competitions are subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
Eligibility • Open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. • Participants must be active subscribers to SCICON newsletter(s) at the time of the draw and/or prize allcation. • Excludes employees of the Organizer, their immediate families, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, and third parties involved in this competition. • Void where prohibited by law.
Competition Period Competitions begin and end as specified for each competition. Entries received outside the specified timeframe will not be accepted.
How to Enter • No purchase necessary. • To enter, participants must subscribe to the SCICON newsletter and may need to perform additional actions as specified in the individual competition details. • If a competition multiple prizes (eg daily prize draws during a tour), each entrant is eligible to win only one daily prize, but all entrants are eligible for any grand prize that may be associated with a particular competition. • Entries must be made directly by the person entering the competition; no group, third-party, or automated entries are permitted. • To improve chances of winning, entrants may receive additional entries by performing specific actions such as sharing a unique referral code, following SCICON’s social media pages, etc., as detailed on the specific competition page. Details will be made available on the relevant competition portal.
Prizes • Prizes may include SCICON products like eyewear, backpacks, and other gear as specified in the competition details. • Winners may not substitute prize/s for cash or other alternatives. • If due to circumstances beyond the Organizer’s control, they are unable to provide the stated prize, they reserve the right to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value.
Winner Selection and Notification • Winners will be selected randomly through an automated process as soon as possible after each draw, unless specified otherwise in the competition details. Organizer confirms that it will act in the utmost good faith to make sure that winners are selected fairly, whether by hand draw are automated random selection via a competition portal. The Organizer will not enter into any arguments and/or be liable for any claims of any nature, related to the selection process and announced winners will be final. • Winners will be notified via email and will have a specified timeframe to claim their prize, as detailed in the competition specifics. In the absence of any specific notice winners will have 14 days to confirm their prize and/or delivery information. • If a winner does not claim their prize within the allotted time, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner selected.
Data Protection • Personal information collected from entrants will be used by the Organizer to manage their entry, notify winners, and for purposes specified in the ORGANIZER Privacy Policy and these Terms.
Limitation of Liability • The Organizer is not responsible for entries not received due to technical issues or any other reason outside their control. • The Organizer disclaims any liability for inaccuracies in information provided by entrants or for any loss or damage resulting from participation in the competition or use/misuse of any prize.
General • The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these Terms and Conditions without notice in the event of an emergency, catastrophe, or any other situation outside their control that would render the competition impractical or unfair to conduct. • Competitions and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by South African law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
