Longines - Love is an Attitude!
Terms and conditions
By participating in the contest “Love is an Attitude!” (hereinafter the “Contest”), you expressly
warrant that you fully and unconditionally agree to and accept these Terms & Conditions and
the decisions of LONGINES, which will be final and binding. Being awarded the prize is
contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
Competition Process
1. The Competition consists of choosing a LONGINES watch from a selection found on the
website valentinesday.longines.com.
2. Participants who have chosen the watch which will have received the most votes by February
18
th
9:00 CET, will automatically be entered into a single prize draw which will determine at
random 1 (one) winner.
3. The prize is as follows:1 (one) LONGINES watch (model to be determined in the contest)
4. LONGINES may publish the name and the prize awarded to the winner on LONGINES’ official
website, Facebook page and on any other medium. LONGINES also reserves the right to use
for publicity, without any compensation other than the prize itself, the winner's surname, name
and photograph.
5. The winner must comply with these terms and conditions. If it is discovered that he or she
does not fulfill the requirements of these terms and conditions, the prize will not be awarded to
him or her. The participants authorize any verification of their identity, age, postal details and
the veracity of any information concerning themselves. Any false declaration, particularly of
identity or address, will cause the participant to be eliminated from the competition with
immediate effect and, if applicable, he or she will be required to return or reimburse the value
of any prize already sent to him or her.
Competition terms and conditions
1. The contest is being run by Longines Watch Co. Francillon Ltd, 2610 St-Imier, Switzerland
(hereinafter: "LONGINES").
2. Entry is open to persons who are eighteen (18) years or older as of the entry date,
respectively who are of age in accordance with the local jurisdiction at their place of residence.
Any entry submitted by an entrant under 18 years will be disregarded.
3. The competition is not open to employees (or members of their immediate families) of
LONGINES, The Swatch Group Ltd, Switzerland or any affiliated company of The Swatch
Group Ltd.
4. Entering the competition is free. No purchase is necessary.
5. The competition commences on February 7
th
, 2013, 10 o’clock. Entries close at 9 o’clock
Swiss time on February 18
th
, 2013. Any entries received before or after these dates and times
will not be accepted.
6. The competition can be accessed at the website valentinesday.longines.com. No
responsibility will be taken for entries that are lost or delayed, or which are not received for
any reason.
7. Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified. LONGINES reserves the right to disregard
multiple entries with false names or suspected to be submitted by the same entrant.
8. LONGINES assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect,
delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or
unauthorized access to or alteration of entries.
9. LONGINES will process the participants’ name and account information confidentially and will
not sell, rent out or exchange any personal information.
10. The winner will be notified as soon as possible after the closing date of the competition by
email or by post.
11. The decision of LONGINES is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into
regarding the competition.
12. All prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered. No cash claims can be
made in lieu of the gifts. LONGINES is not liable for the cost and consequences arising from
the prize.
13. If any winner is not able for whatever reason to accept the prize(s), then LONGINES reserves
the right to award the prize(s) to another entrant. In the event that a winner chooses not to
accept a prize, he/she forfeits any and all claims to that prize, which will be dealt with
according to the absolute discretion of LONGINES subject to legislative requirements, and no
replacement prize will be offered.
14. The competition is organized under Swiss Law. Any dispute arising in connection with the
present terms and conditions shall be exclusively submitted to the competent courts at
LONGINES Headquarters in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. These General Contest Rules may be
changed at any time by LONGINES.
15. All prizes are accepted entirely at the risk of the winner and LONGINES excludes all
warranties in connection with any prize to the extent permitted by law. LONGINES, its
agencies, affiliates, sponsors and representatives are not responsible for defective prizes (with
the exception of LONGINES watch prizes) or misuse of any prize, or for any claims, liability,
loss or damage arising out of or in connection with any Contest.
16. Winners are responsible for any and all taxes payable as a result of a prize being awarded,
accepted or received.
17. By entering the Contest, each participant confirms the objectivity and accuracy of all
information given. LONGINES reserves the right to verify any information. Each participant will
bear all consequences of proven fraud. If due to any reason whatsoever, LONGINES
becomes aware after an entrant has won a prize that the entrant has not complied with these
terms (or special Terms and Conditions), such entrant will have no entitlement to the prize,
even if LONGINES has announced them as a winner and such entrant will be required, at the
direction of LONGINES to return, refund or otherwise make restitution of the prize.
18. All participants release from, and indemnify LONGINES, its agencies, affiliates and
representatives against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any
prize(s) or participation in any contest including (but not limited to) personal injury and damage
to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or
omission or otherwise.
